I had different tastes in music,
LGBT+ stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and more. LGBT+ is made up of individuals with sexual orientations or gender expressions that exist outside traditional norms. This includes individuals who are attracted to others of the same sex, individuals who identify with a different gender than what they were assigned at birth, and individuals who don't experience sexual attraction. While individuals who are LGBT+ can chose how they wish to express their sexuality, it's important to understand that an individual's sexuality is not a choice and is unique to each person. Additionally, an individual's sexuality or gender may not be static and can change as one develops and explores their identity.
Coming Out?
Sexuality makes up a large part of our personal identities and connects us in ways that are deeply vulnerable, honest, and intimate. Despite how essential it is to our existence both biologically and socially, society has grown to harbor a large number of hostile views regarding sexual expression. These hateful ideologies install a sense of shame, guilt, and self-hatred for simply being human and cause a large amount of suffering to those who are prevented from expressing themselves freely. Sexuality is a vital aspect of being human and rejecting this does not change the fact we are sexual creatures.
